The Self-Publishing Revolution in Türkiye Led by Sümbül Gazel

 

 

Led by Sümbül Gazel, we launched a first in the history of independent publishing in Türkiye on October 27, 2025.

 

 

We began with our own works: the Zodiac Series (24 books) and the Jiyotish Series – Basic Vedic Astrology, a total of 25 books.

 

The first book in the Zodiac Series, The Aries Woman, not only features a unique writing style called "Accreti Comedy," but also made history as the first independent book in Turkey to be published simultaneously in both digital and paperback formats.

 

By adding the Print-on-Demand (POD) option to the ISBN system, we opened the door to individual publishing in Türkiye. Now, authors can break free from the monopoly of large publishing houses, publish their own works internationally with their own ISBN numbers, and register them with an official ISBN.

 

This step is not just a book approval; it's a revolutionary move that initiates freedom and equal opportunity in publishing. The first approved ISBNs were for our own 25 books, and this process has become a concrete example and guide for independent authors.
